  • Welcome!

*Please note that I am no longer accepting new clients.*

Thank you so much for visiting! I am Nicole, a custom newborn photographer and owner of Nicole Renée Newborns. I specialize in Newborn Portraiture in Baltimore County, Maryland and surrounding areas. I am a studio-only photographer working with natural light. I would describe my style as creative, fun and modern. I like natural poses, interesting textures and fun props. I am one of the only 100% digital newborn photographers in the Baltimore area and am thrilled to offer high-resolution digital files to my clients.

You can view my recent work by scrolling down, or visit my portfolio by clicking on one of the "portfolio" links at the top. Also, I truly enjoy donating my photography services to new adoptive families through my non-profit organization, Red Thread Sessions. I am no longer accepting new clients to focus on my family and do not have intentions of returning to work soon. It has been such a pleasure to work with so many families through the years, and I truly cherish every single one! May God bless your day!

Pretty girl

You may remember Miss A. from her newborn session HERE. She’s now 3 months old and growing into a beautiful blue-eyed baby girl. She was in and out of being happy, but really was mostly content throughout our entire session. We got some really great shots (yay!) and I was able to capture those pretty baby blues.
I have to say though, my favorite is definitely that first one. What a precious capture … so calm and peaceful – I’m super glad we waited for it! I also really love the last one, just so sweet! I prefer it as a square crop but also have the 4×6 for Mom 🙂
Thanks Mom & Dad for being so accommodating (as usual!) – it was a lot of fun to see you again! I look forward to our next session!

Girls just wanna have fun!

“Having a sister is like having a best friend you can’t get rid of. You know whatever you do, they’ll still be there.” ~Amy Li

When mom told me she bought pettiskirts for the session, I sooooo knew we were going to have fun. These sisters sure didn’t disappoint either! They did so well together that for a minute, it made me jealous that I didn’t have a sister growing up.

Thanks Mom for this fun opportunity! There’s something about accessorizing (i.e., big poofy pettiskirts) that gets me every time!

I love them! Thanks so much – you are amazing!

For a childhood friend

So Facebook truly is amazing … I was able to reconnect with a friend from elementary school awhile back. She lives in Florida with her family and made a visit to Baltimore over the weekend. We were able to meet up for a fun session with her two kiddos while she was here. Older sis is 4 years old and such a beauty! She was also happy to pose for me 🙂 Little bro is oh-so-adorable and totally on the move at 18 months.

I still managed to grab several shots out of him anyway though. Could he be any cuter?!? I love this b&w pouty face – his eyes are just perfect 🙂

Miss M. is a little model in the making – such a gorgeous girl!

Mom – THANK YOU!! It was so fun meeting your kids and seeing you again! I especially enjoyed seeing how much your daughter looks JUST like you did as a little girl. I hope you had a safe trip back to FL, I’ll let you know as soon as I finish with the rest! I had fun!

Brown-eyed baby girl

What an adorable 6 month old baby girl! We started this session at Swan Harbor Farm, but Miss L. had other plans for us. We ended up in her gorgeous bedroom and got some really sweet shots. This little one is pretty serious – but we managed to get a few smiles out of her. It took some coaxing, but I’m thrilled! I especially love that first shot – so precious!
Mom & Dad – THANK YOU! LOL. You were so willing to be flexible and I really appreciate it! I’ll let you know as soon as I finish up with the rest!

Happy {belated} Memorial Day!

I had the amazing pleasure of spending Memorial Day afternoon with this new family! Mr. C’s parents were so wonderful and hospitable and didn’t even mind that I got lost coming to their house (umm … twice actually). Dad was very patient on the phone making sure I got there!
I had kind of a rough start with this little guy. Dad worked his powers (again, twice!) to get him to sleep … we’d get him situated and ready for my camera and then he’d wake up. LOL. I snapped a few here and there, but the poor little guy just wasn’t having it. We tried a third time, in the cocoon, and we magically hit baby boy’s happy place. I didn’t move him a ton for fear of waking him up, but I’m thrilled with our results. Woohoo, I guess the third time really IS the charm?!
Most of my favorites are in the cocoon, but how darling is the Memorial Day-inspired pose? Ahhh, perfection! And that one was during his not-so-happy time 🙂
Mom & Dad – thank you for allowing me to capture your new bundle of joy. You were definitely troopers throughout the entire session, I’m so glad we persevered! I’ll let you know as soon as I finish up with the rest of your proofs. Take care and good luck!
