  • Welcome!

*Please note that I am no longer accepting new clients.*

Thank you so much for visiting! I am Nicole, a custom newborn photographer and owner of Nicole Renée Newborns. I specialize in Newborn Portraiture in Baltimore County, Maryland and surrounding areas. I am a studio-only photographer working with natural light. I would describe my style as creative, fun and modern. I like natural poses, interesting textures and fun props. I am one of the only 100% digital newborn photographers in the Baltimore area and am thrilled to offer high-resolution digital files to my clients.

You can view my recent work by scrolling down, or visit my portfolio by clicking on one of the "portfolio" links at the top. Also, I truly enjoy donating my photography services to new adoptive families through my non-profit organization, Red Thread Sessions. I am no longer accepting new clients to focus on my family and do not have intentions of returning to work soon. It has been such a pleasure to work with so many families through the years, and I truly cherish every single one! May God bless your day!

Be Inspired! {a guide to wall art}

I am a HUGE believer of displaying portraits on the walls of your home. And not just a small 5×7 or 8×10 here and there – I just love to see large portraits or a grouping of portraits as decor. Although there is a time and place for smaller desk portraits, I truly believe that bigger is better when it comes to wall art!

It can sometimes be difficult to visualize session portraits on your walls – hopefully this post will inspire you. These wall art galleries are perfect for telling the “story” of your family – rarely does one image do that by itself. That’s why purchasing digital files from your session is ideal – your portraits are meant to go together! You are free to change your mind about which portraits you’d like to display on your walls at any time. If you’d like help deciding which portraits to display, please ask – I am happy to assist!
Also keep in mind that you are not limited by framed prints. If you’ve been to my home, you know that I ADORE Gallery Wraps. They offer a great “wow” factor and although the initial cost might be more than a print, you don’t need a frame! Another lower-cost alternative is the Standout – somewhat similar to a gallery wrap but is produced on a lightweight gatorfoam, not a canvas. And again, no frame required. The possibilities are limitless!
A special thank you to the amazing Amy Lingenfelder for these awesome templates! I added my own touches but credit goes to her for creating them.
UPDATE on 12.2.10 – I have added several new templates below from my {wall art ideas II} post.

Brand new little guy

Welcome beautiful baby boy M! This little guy was such a precious thing – and he has 2 doting parents that are absolutely in love with him! Mom & Dad say he’s a pretty easy baby and I have to agree. He barely cried during his session! Although he definitely had his favorite positions, I was able to move him around just enough to get the shots I was looking for 🙂
I’m glad Mom asked for the “hand” shots because the first portrait is one of my favorites! Thank you for such a wonderful morning – I had a great time getting to know your family! I look forward to our next session when Mr. M. is sitting up!

Perfect little model

What a fun little guy! We met up super-early this morning to beat the heat and I think it worked … I was just starting to break a sweat when we left. Mr. B. was the perfect model for me today – he did everything we asked and was just a fun-loving happy kid. What more can I ask for?
Thanks Mom & Dad for being so flexible with our session time – the early AM was definitely the way to go!

Howdy Partner

How cute are these two?! Their family met up with me on literally the HOTTEST day of the year. Go figure. LOL. Fortunately they were such champs through the whole session.

Mom surprised the kids with super-fun accessories after we got some more formal portraits out of the way. Little man was thrilled because he just loves all things cowboy! His sister wasn’t as happy about the hat – I think it was a love/hate kind of thing. Fortunately I was able to snag a couple of her wearing it – so precious!

I think “baby” wasn’t supposed to be in any of the portraits but this last image is one of my favorites. Everything about it just speaks to me for some reason, but my favorites are rarely parents’ favorites too. LOL. This was actually one of the first images I shot before she came out of her shell. Her pout is absolutely priceless!

Thanks Mom & Dad for being such great sports today – it was H-O-T! Despite that though, I’m thrilled with our results! Your little ones are so precious!

{Fall Mini-Sessions} are here!

Hi everyone, I’m thrilled to finally make this announcement – the {fall mini-session}! I have scheduled several weekends of these to accommodate as many families as possible during the season. Unfortunately, full session availability is already very limited but I’m hopeful that the mini-session will work for most families.
Please click on the image to make it larger if you can’t read it like this. Locations are still TBD – I will amend the announcement as soon as I know for sure where they will be. Contact me when you are ready to schedule – there are plenty of sessions available but I am not sure how quickly they will go.
Thank you!
